How to Use a Glue Bottle

One of the biggest parts of Kindergarten is teaching procedures for everything.  In addition to the basic procedures of just how to behave in school such as walk in a line, where and how to sit, we also have to teach the basic procedures of how to use supplies. (Which actually I love teaching!)

This week we worked on scissor skills and also how to use a glue bottle.  We read the book, Too Much Glue, by Jason Lefebvre.  We practiced opening and closing the glue bottle, then we practiced making baby dots of glue.

This is the sheet the students practiced on, and then they placed squares of construction paper on top of each dot of glue.
